James DelVecchio named Maryland ACEP Chair of Year
The Maryland chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) has honored James DelVecchio, MD, FACEP, with the Chairperson of the Year Award. He will receive the award at the March 12 annual Maryland ACEP Educational Conference.
“It has been my honor to serve as the Chair of the Departments of Emergency Medicine at Holy Cross Hospital at Holy Cross Germantown Hospital,” Dr. DelVecchio said. “I am humbled to have been nominated for the award. For years I have told the providers I work with that it has been my goal to support them in their mission, ‘To Care for Patients.’ Receiving this award makes me proud to be a part of this team.”
Dr. DelVecchio is the Director of Integrated Acute Care for Holy Cross Health in Maryland. He has been with US Acute Care Solutions since 2016, and at Holy Cross since 1993.
Dr. DelVecchio earned his medical degree at the Georgetown University School of Medicine and completed his internship in internal medicine and residency in emergency medicine at Albany Medical Center. He has been at Holy Cross Hospital since completing residency and helped in opening the nation’s first Seniors Emergency Department, as well as planning and opening the Holy Cross Germantown Hospital.
