Where do you want to work? US Acute Care Solutions serves more than 220 hospitals in 20 states. We want to help you learn about our locations by meeting physicians who practice there! Today’s feature is Dr. Wyatt Hall, a medical director in the beautiful state of Colorado.
What drew you to Colorado?
I came to Colorado primarily as my top choice for residency training at Denver Health. It also fulfilled my passion for the mountains and the mountain lifestyle.
Why Avon?
Avon is home to the world-renowned Beaver Creek ski resort and sits next to the town of Vail. We serve a very like-minded community who also have moved to the mountains for a different lifestyle.
My wife and I moved from Longmont/Boulder to Avon/Vail to give our two children the opportunity to pursue their ski racing dreams at the first public ski academy, Vail Ski and Snowboard Academy. My oldest just graduated and will ski race in college back east and my youngest is a senior at the academy. The ski racing community is a small and very tight group of families that includes Olympians, X Gamers and Powder hounds alike. I enjoy being able to care for the same community that supports my children.
What’s unique about your patient population and your hospitals?
Our patient population is typically, very active, healthy and a pleasure to care for.
Both Centura Avon EUC in Eagle County and St. Anthony Summit Medical Center in Summit County both serve the mountain communities and are uniquely positioned to evaluate and treat the full spectrum of high-altitude illnesses, including HAPE and HACE.
The providers work alongside our nurses and radiology techs to promote our facility and the Centura organization at events that attract not only regional but international visitors at both the Vail GoPro Mountain Games and the Vail/Beaver Creek Birds of Prey World Cup Ski Races. These events are great team-building opportunities and are part of the fabric of our community.
